    I guess I should start this with the warning "dont try this at home kiddies".

    Looks like a lathe to me! Very similar to the ideas we played around with in the early '70's trying to make home made lathes. Only thing he is doing differently is mounting it on top of the tablesaw to use the saw as the cutter.
