Waldo, as I was trying to say on the phone earlier today, I would have to pick it back up as you were the last in line to ask for one and it's not fair on Chrisb691 to miss out due to the fact that he reserved his earlier.
If you look back at post 129, you will see how I reached that conclusion.
Sorry if there was some confusionCheers

I apologize to you all for the inconvenience I caused because of those three chucks with odd threads (which I somehow mistook for 1" X 10tpi ), [especially to Crazyscew, Wheelinround and Waldo].
Also, thanks to DJ for discovering the problem, and repairing it so quickly, and expertly.

Chuck arrived today. ( and the spare jaws from jim came the other day to )
i think my spindle is 1,1/4" 8tpi not 1" 8tpi so my chuck doesnt fit. i dont know how i mis measured it but i did. its definately 8tpi tho
it doesnt matter tho because the mini lathe i'm getting next year is a 1" 8tpi...that way i can turn when i go away. also i think at least one of the clubs lathe spindle is a 1"8tpi ( i just got to get around to going to the mettings...and its still good to grab one while they're going cheap
thanx again DJ
and thanx again GilS T I R L O

Hi Gil,
Your thread form will probably be 1" x 10tpi BSF (British Standard Fine)

You are welcome, everyone, glad you will enjoy using them as I do mine.
Woodfast Aust, I expect you are correct, and all the 1" X 10s are in Australia now. These chucks are big time travelers.
Cheers!!!
