Just to let people know, I haven't forgotten about you all, just been a bit busy since I picked them up.
Was saying to Scooter this arvo when he picked his up that I reckon I've done about 1200-1500km of driving in the last 5 days so tomorrow will be a quiet one sorting them out and catching up onCheers

Visited DJ this afternoon & collected my couple of chucks.
A couple of pics attached, showing wot we got and a size comparison with the SN2 chuck. Pic 2 is the SN2 and the Compac jaw-to-jaw.
Many thanks to Gil for making the chucks available packing & posting etc, and DJ for doing the yards this end. Thanks very much, fellas.
Cheers..................Sean

G'day,
Just checked my 1x10 after Dj rang me, and it seems to fit okay on my Tough lathe . Dj, you're still welcome to call by to verify either way.

Ok have finish checking all the 1" x 10tpi and 1 x 8tpi and have found that all the 8tpi are fine so that is all good
Now for the 10 tpi, of the 9 received, 3 are in fact 8tpi according to my tpi gauge with a different thread pitch angle as far as I can make out. I have measured the internal Dia against a good 8tpi and they are the same so they are not undersized.
The option I am left with is to run my 1" x 8 tap through the defect ones to fix them to fit a 1" x 8tpi lathe, which then leaves me with the unpleasant duty of informing the last 3 people on the list to miss out on a chuck.
Now this is where it gets complicated. As far as I can tell after a bit a reading and checking times of posting.
As far as I can make out this is the order of claim,
DJ's Timber 2 or 3 I gave up 2 for wheelinround and Waldo
Wood Butcher 1
mugwoody 3 mugwoody gave up 1 for crazyscew
Wood Butcher's dad 1
chrisb691 1
crazyscew 1
wheelinround 1
Waldo 1
So according to that order crazyscew, wheelinround and Waldo will have to miss out.
Sorry guys.Cheers

Ok, I have cleaned up the 3 defects chucks with my machine tap and they came up beautifully. I will be offering the first one to woodwork wally first (thanks BS).
The other 2 are up for grabs, they are to fit a 1" x 8tpi lathe spindle.
They will be $40 ea plus $9.30 for a 3kg satchel for postage, which will only take 1 due to the weight.Cheers
