    Default Turning Lessons

Hi, I am a skilled WW, but new to the lathe, a Woodfast M305 with some cheap chisels. So far, I have managed to master 'The Catch'.

I am wondering if any member knows of turners who offer one-on-one lessons in Melbourne's east? Peter

Do a search for woodturning clubs. There are bound to be a few around Melbourne. Men's sheds would be the next place to try.

I did a CAE course with Andrew Potocnik many years ago and he was very good. He does teach privately if that is what you want.

Not as good as one-on-one lessons, but one of the best in video offerings from master turner Richard Raffan.

    Richard Raffin on YouTube!

Do both... get the one-on-one lessons and go back and back to look at those videos.
    Stay sharp and stay safe!

Hi Peter, what are you trying to "master" at this stage, bowl or spindle turning?

    Cheers Peter

I know that Pops Shed in Chirnside Park offer lessons. Give them a call and ask to speak to James, he should be able to assist.

    Cheers Peter
