The Magic Within
Hi All,
Just had to share this one....
I am continually amazed at what can lie hidden below the surface of an old piece of weathered timber. Never ceases to give me a thrill.
This lidded box was from a piece of Bull Oak (Casuarina) that came from a tree that has been dead for years. The timber in the background (not the decking!) is from the same tree.
I kept the deep weathered surface cracks as a feature in the lid. The finial is from the same piece.
