Makers Mark
Hey there,
Thought that I would show a closeup of my makers mark, Len from Lasersharp Engraving did them, they are 22mm diameter, and 0.5mm thick, cut on his Laser engraver. 22mm forstner bit cut in about 0.6mm and some doublesided tape they click in and don't come out.

Ah yes, MM does some smoooooth drams;-}
...
My mark is just a couple of grooves in the bowl/platter base, and with felt tip pen initials, wood and date. Cheap and cheerful.
Helps to have been drilled in copperplate as a kid. (Actually, to have been kept in after school to do better at it )Cheers, Ern

Well, as I recall some Japanese master being quoted: you don't need to sign your own work. It will be recognised without it.
Cheers, Ern

Hey TT and Others,
Had a chat with Len and he says, roughly $10-15 each, depending on your design and how many you want and what material you want, I'll get his website linked in here somewhere tonite if I can. So that you can contact him direct if you are interested.

Hi. Not sure if anyone is looking at this thread still or not.
Just letting anyone that is interested know that I run a business which uses a CO2 laser, i can provide these maker mark's usually for a buck or two each. depending on quantity. cheaper for orders over 50.
Also any other laser work, on timber, acrylic, etc.
Thanks
PM if you need any extra details
