Mango First time used
Hi all,recently I got some timber from Euge, this bit of Mango was a first for me

The blank was difficult about 28mm thick board with a cup in it. Initially it was going to be a platter , but I only rate the finished product 5/10 so will be finished as a clock hence unfinished foot . The mango due to the figure in it had variable hardness which due to my disability I found a bit of a challenge to produce a perfectly flat surface . Finish was ubeaut triple eee

Ian, that is much better than 5 / 10. For flattening I will finish with sandpaper wrapped around a board long enough to span the whole piece. A 50mm square would not drag as much if you have little strength in your hands. Use light pressure to start.
So much timber, so little time.
