Marking knife Blade Mechanism
Hey everyone I’m looking for some help to find the Blade/Knife holding mechanism used here in the picture below, It’s used by Matt Estlea and I know that he gets them custom made for his marking knifes.
Would be great if anyone knows of a similar product for sale.
thanks.

Very unlikely you will find a supplier it would be a custom made job, find a friendly metal working hobbyist maybe here

Maybe an exacto knife knock-off could be cut down and modified?
I've never seen one in brass, though... If I had, I'd own it.

It really looks easy enough to make. I might give it a go when I have time. I do not like the handles of ether the Estea or Barron versions. They are not ergonomic. Look at the one I designed and now made by Chris Vesper ...
If you just want a knife to use the blades, the top two here do so (Swann-Morton, and Stanley) ..

Hey Derek the marking knifes that you’ve designed, how are the blades locked onto the handle? Allen key?
