To expand on the offer:
and I are prepared to do a duo, covering
1. Getting a clean finish off the tools

Given the mix of folk coming and I will work to devise a session that will meet the needs of newbs as well as allow old hands to share their practice wisdom.Cheers, Ern

David,
Thanks for the offer of a lift but as luck would have it I'll be taking my daughter to Melbourne airport early (7am flight) so I'll be in Melbourne anyway.
So I'll see you there.Regards,

Hi Groggy,
I will attend if all goes well ,will confirm closer to the date.
What can I bring to help with the day?
I will bring some Atlantic Cedar,
I have turned a small bowl from this timber,it was dry and finished well, coated with Organ oil and a week later it has become all sticky the resin came through the finish
Has anyone used this timberWould shellac prevent this from happening
Our club has had a lot of this timber ,just received another trailer load of logs the other day
Regards
David

Hi Groggy,
Please put me down on the attendance list as a learner ...... If there is anything that you need me to bring along please let me know ....... I have some nice pepper grinder blank timber (hint hint!).
Calm - as an ex Ballarat boy I am sure that you have both thongs and the trackies & moccasins in the wardrobe so it will just be a matter of deciding between summer or winter wear
Issatree ..... I trust there is a spare seat in the van????
Cheers

yep, got one
Mine was pulled out of shape by the packaging being too tight and has not recovered its true round shape (1 year on) so it gets a bit bumpy. Note to anyone buying them, they don't get their shape back so make sure it isn't deformed in its packaging.

David, seeing as you're doing a pepper grinder demo would you be able to bring along some photos of different styles of mills, or better still some examples?
Ern, are you planning on bringing some of those wiz bang American abrasives for us to have a look at?To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional
Confidence, the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.

Cool, thanks Groggy.
GJ, haven't put in the order yet but can talk a bit about abrasive types; given the attendance, covering the basics would be 1st priority.Cheers, Ern
