Safety Comment
Point well made. Care should be taken at all times when using a microwave...what I meant to say was replace the mug of water as it gets hot after short bursts in the microwave, let everything cool down first before handling.......this process was described many years ago in a woodturning journal/mag and it has worked well for me particularly for small pieces. DUE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE TAKEN AT ALL TIMES.....KC

Thanks again for your input Gentlemen. Now I have microwave in shed I will experiment with caution. I still have heaps of wet olive to dry ( I love the stuff, nice smell when turning and sometimes nice grain features).
