    Smile Mini Lathe Stand

I am looking for a portable stand for a Leda Mini Lathe that I can move in and out of small shed [limited to unit living]...also suitable to take to local Mens Shed. Noted reference to a Gorilla Stand that can fold up...any one have a suggestion as to how or where to get one. Could have one made if I had plans etc....Regards....George

    Default Portable Lathe stand

I use a fixed height Black and Decker workmate style bench for my VL100.
The Lathe is on a mounting board which is clamped by the top jaws the motor is mounted onto a board which is clipped beneath to the front legs.
Thanks to the wide footprint it is rock steady in use and can be disassembled for storage in seconds.
Of course the VL100 is a small lathe and this may not suit you.
