Modified huon pine clock
As I was not completly satisfied with the face on this clock i dug deep into my brain and remembered that some woods change colour when treated with a sollution derived from steel wool soaked in vinegar. A tiny droplet of this sollution was applied to each and every dowel and made sure this did not leach into surrounding timber. Here is the end result.

Must have been fun colouring all those dowels.
Improves the clock tremendously, makes a good clock a fantastic one.
