Default A Nice Bit of Luck.

    Hi All,
I have a Ledacraft Mini Lathe. Goes well, but being a Chinese 1/2 Hp. Motor, I have had to kick start it.
Told my Electrician Friend, that the Capacitor had had the gong. No probs.
Found a 4ft., 2 x 20 Fluoro, & lo & behold the same size Capacitor, fitted in the holder & all.
The normal cost was to be $15.
    Cost to me zilch.
Works like a dream. So 1st. time out tonight, as I have to do a Demo for the "Geelong Woodcrafters Guild ". So I hope it holds up, & will report later.
    Regards,
    issatree.

    Default The Capacitor.

    Hi All,
Well I worked that motor for over 1 Hr. & it never missed a beat.
    Very Happy with the outcome.
It has to go again on Sat. & will be most likely 3 Hrs.
I really don't see a problem coming, as I think it would have shown up last night.

    1 Question ;
Would this new Capacitor give that Motor a bit more Oomph, as I thought it was running a bit Better & Stronger.
    Regards,
    issatree.

Used the same thing on my MC900 before I sold it and as far as I know it's still running on it - lasted longer than the original actually
