Having just bought a bargain packet of machinery including Teknatool Nova...question arises
how much space should I plan on between the spindle lock and shed wall?
also space between bed and back wall? both optimum and practical....if these is a difference
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

in my experience the space is determined by the ability to fit reasonably effective dust extraction behind the lathe with allow for a hood and the swing of the work piece. If 150 mm ducting is used it works out to about 500 mm from wall to lathe centre line.

I like enough space between wall and lathe to easily fish out stuff dropped behind the lathe.
So much timber, so little time.
