    Default olive bowl

    G'day
    Here's a natural edge olive bowl that I've just finished .170mm wide x 120mm high .
    Finish is DO .

    I think that's a great bowl Ted. I like the form and the spalting around the heartwood really sets it off.

    Always liked olive grain and that bowl with its natual edge and good shape
    shows it off very well. Nighswerk!!!

    Wow, beautiful. How do you stop the bark from falling off? I imagine CA or something before working it. (Needless to say i'm not a turner )

    I don't think that's spalting in the heartwood , thats just the way olive is .

    I can't remember if I used CA to stabilize the bark . This was probably roughed out about 5 years ago . As you can see , I lost the bark in a few places .
