Blackwood vase
Well I found this piece of blackwood on my firewood pile. Initially thought it was going to be too rotten to turn but after a play with the chainsaw was able to salvage this little gem.
Vase is 210mm high and 230 wide; finish is Danish Oil the buffed wit EEE after allowing the DO a week to harden. You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have. ~Oscar Wilde

Tony,
That's one of the nicest vases i have seen for a while. If i'd turned that, I'd hang up my tools as i would've reached my peak. Stunning. I'f i'd turned this for my wife, it would probably earn me an unburnt roast!!.
Fantastic.

Thanks for the comments Phil and Richard. Iv'e actually turned this for another mans wife so a few burnt roasts are on the cards, may be some cold shoulder and hot tongue as well.
