    Default Packing Timber

Picked up some packing timber from work, some sort of compressed particle board. Had no idea how it would turn out. Happy with the wood, but think the neck and top could have been smaller. Was just a bit unsure how it would hold up.

Good work Quinny. Unusual timber but who cares? The shape is really good
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

Nice vase, looks balanced to me, or might just be the angle, hahahaha

That's worked out quite well. One of the pleasures of turning is seeing what will emerge from the ugly old lump that's just been chucked on the lathe.

Well done on getting something from the pallet wood. I think the top could be a little bit smaller but I would not say the same for the neck.

For me the curve from the base to the neck looks spot on.
