Paua Shell Inserts
Bought some of the above from CWS. Inserted one in a project and it is a bit below the surface of the wood it sits into. Can the shell insert be lightly sanded as well, with a very fine grit?

So what grit are we talking about, 340 or 600 or higher?

I have used paua shell and mother of pearl for inserts often. Use through the grades up to 1200 then EEE. Will come up beautifully.
