    Default Another piece of firewood

This is the result of turning up a piece of firewood, I did ask in the timber section for an ID but there was no positive result. Hopefully someone might have a better idea now it has been machines and finished

You should have searched through the pile to see if you could find any more.

If it`s a local wood I`ll stick my neck out and say it is Banksia Sessilis or Parrot Bush used to be classed as a Dryandra.

Not sure if it is a local timber, it was in the firewood pile of a mate. He got it from his tree lopper mate from a job he did

All I know is it has some nice features and the surface is prickly as

That limb I went out on with the Parrot Bush ,I think that one just fell off the tree the wood has a deep rich red colouring as shown in one of the pics, the other limb I could go out on is Banksia Attenuata which are the other pics.If it`s not that then my guess is as good as anyones. By the way you`ve done a fantastic job in bringing the piece of wood alive again. Cheers David.
