    Default Pinch Pots

Decided to make a couple of Salt and Pepper pinch pots but with lids.

The main body has two turned recesses out of Sapele, the lids are American Black Walnut the black knob is African Blackwood and the white is Acrylic as I did not have any real white wood to hand. The base is finished with Mineral oil and the outside then waxed and buffed once dry. the lids got a coat of sander sealer then waxed before the knobs are fitted.

    Dalboy,

Beautiful, and beautifully photographed. (I'm a retired commercial / advertising photographer.)
So much timber, so little time.

    Thank you Paul.

I did use to take photos for the Army for inteligent purposes in my younger days but not studio type work.

Beautiful work Derek. You must be running out of space for all the top work you produce.

    Regards

It has been so long since I've seen a pinch pot that I'd almost forgotten they were ever a thing!

It's good to see someone making something a bit different than the average bowl/pen/decorative piece... and I suspect our 'formal' table will soon be graced with something similar.
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Thank you Keith. I have been a little slow on the toy/model making lately, I must get back to making something.

    Thank you.

The pinch pot really is no more than a double box or even twin bowls but for different use.
