    This was finished yesterday

    The timber is Crow's Ash and the finish is EEE and sheelawax

    The wife intends to use it as a fruit dish

    Simomatra, Nice job, simple clean lines, well finished both over and under.
    Terry B, crows ash is a part of the flindersia family, a cousin to Queensland maple, silver ash and hickory ash.

    It was nice timber to turn it can be a little hard on the tools as apparently it has a high silica content

    That's a nice dish and I too like the foot. I have been doing a few bits in rose ash (flindersia laevicarpa) and certainly seems to be a nice family of wood.
