Wanted to try something different and this is it. It very rough, as when I started turning, found cracks, worm holes and all else bad in the timber, ( dead finish, which I love,) but decided to continue on to get an idea of what I wanted. Had no idea of measurements and just made it up as I went. I have since googled all the details I want and will make a good one for one of the Shows. My grandson can have fun with this.

Thanks for the comments. Vern, my grandson only got to look at it - my daughter claimed it. It is now on her desk at school, and she said the kids were most impressed when she told them her mother made it. She said they come to attention when she bangs it. Poor kids.
    Cheers, Shirley
