, Sincere condolonces to you, your Mum and wider families. Some how its a relief knowing they are off to a better place. I know how you feel mate having had one of those phone calls 26 years back now about my Dad. I dread the day that I'll get another one, you know it will come but you still really aren't prepared for it.

It's that phone call that you are not expecting that brings you undone no matter how prepared we think we are for it. Mate you have a life time of memories with him so he is never far away. In my case Dad had had a number of strokes that took his speech so for a number of years he could not communicate. So in effect we lost him years before he actually checked out.
All the best to you and the family in this awkward time.Just do it!
