About five years ago i bought a record power lathe model CLC3. I have some experance with metal spinning a lost art. At that time i was tought to make my own tools as part of the apprenticeship and the does and donts of a dangerous peice of equipment. The lathe that i bought was used from a pawn shop and had not directions of the correct and or safe
way to set it up. can anyone help.

There's some useful info on avoiding vibration - which I know can be very bad for spinners - in the thread below yours "back on the vibration trail"
My lathe is a lighter weight model than yours but the principles still apply.

Good advice is free on these forums but nobody ever said it was easy.If I had a pound for every clever and successful Idea I have had over the years --- I'd still be broke!
On the other hand.....
