I may not always like the designs that people request but their $ are worth the same as those I do like so why knock it?.
Being given a design is also less stressful. Yea stressful turning
bottom tray 10" top 8"

Oldiephred, not so a bad design, anyway I like it.
But as long as they pay for it, it's okay.
Water base floor finish, actually I use that all the time for my turnings.
What is the branch name of this stuff ?

I like it too. Nice, uncluttered, functional shape.

I quite like that. I nearly bought my wife a multi level silver tray, but wasn't happy with the look of them. I wondered what one would look like in timber but wasn't sure if it would be too heavy looking. I reckon your one is a nice looking, uncluttered design and beautifully made

Great job oldiephred
I made one similar to this for a friend a couple of years ago. (She called it a cake server) but I put a small lazy Susan bearing under it. She was really happy with the end result. It looked almost the same as yours. I have since sold a couple at charity auctions. There's no such thing as gravity, the world sux!!
