Resin burl box
Hi guys , I supppose you could call this a box , resin and burl "box"
I was gifted this blank and wasn, t sure what to make from it , so
I cut it in half and made 2 small boxes , both have thread lids , the first
one I returned to the sender , the 2nd one I made last week ...
If you ever want to try hand chased threads try this resin stuff
makes it really easy to chase a thread , nice crisp and clean threads
Any comments and advice welcomeCheers smiife

I luv this sort of stuff. I have a similar colour and burl type bowl in the making. It hopefully will be near as good as this once done.
(I was turning the bowl tonight and it flew off, ripped a glob out of a lamp, something bounced off my face mask and the blank was retrieved front my front yard with fixable damage only)

Nice work smiife. The threads look to have cut very cleanly, what tool did you use to turn them.

brainstrust - always better if your accidents stay on your own property. It's embarrassing having to knock on your neighbours front door (like a naughty kid), and ask "Can I have my blank back please?"
