Robbos Rambles.
I am going to Brisbane next week traveling up the Newell and then home via the coast to Sydney and Canberra.
If a club, individual or maybe a group of Forumites would like to spend a day or evening to pick up some pointers on turning I would only be too happy to oblige.
My route is not set in stone and I can alter to suit.
The weekend of 23rd and 24th is taken up at the moment.

Hell, thought at first this was a thread about finally loosing the plot and being committed for giving away all the big stuff and retiring to a mini lathe to just turn pens all the while yelling at the top of his voice, "this is fun, this is fun, this fun". So happy to see it hasnt happened......................yet

I'll be in Brissy til mid December, I don't have a lathe for demos but happy to catch up/tag along at anything that may be open to to others.
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

Good stuph! Here's to hoping we catch up with you on your "Sydney transit."
I'd offer up here as a potential stop-over, 'cept I imagine that between recovering the more... 'enthusiastic' members from the bottom of the hill and avoiding the swirling flocks of Rosellas incensed by intruders at their feeding stations there wouldn't be much demonstrating achieved.
Mind you, our door is always open should you - or other forum members - wanna drop in for a cuppa.
Oh... and Dave? You should know that there is always something new to learn. It's just that some of us need to go to 'special' school.

I'm on the Newell. Would love a visit and some pointers. I could put the word out toy club and see if anyone else is available and wants to come.
One club member is a high school teacher and may even be able to stir up some of his students for a visit.
Club meets Friday 29th Nov but I'm happy to make myself and property available anytime. I can probably get use of the club venue too. I'm in Jerilderie club venue in Finley
And plenty of room for your truck too
