Roloc sanding disks
Anybody used 'roloc' sanding disks and pad for power sanding.
Is it worth getting the pad and dedicated disks?
Cheap from certain eastern suppliers.
Comments please.

Yes, I've used them for turning. They (Scotchbrite like) produce a kind of grain-raised effect that can be quite attractive. The multiple sizes and different grits are also useful. The sandpaper types are very tough and don't have the tendency to produce the grain raised effect.
Innovations are those useful things that, by dint of chance, manage to survive the stupidity and destructive tendencies inherent in human nature.
