    Default Round & Round

    "Round & Round"This segmented piece is made from Teak there are 96 circles and 224 pieces all together. It was glued up and turned in sections all turned using carbide cutters without a steady rest, the finished size is 7 1/2" x 9" tall and finished with satin lacquer.

    I'm curious, does this mean you were just holding the chisel completely freehand? What's the benefit? Is it more of a scraping action?

    Thank you I'm not referring to the tool rest but a steady rest like this. Amazon.com

    I can honestly say I've never seen anything like that. I think it's great! Beautiful job.

    Thank you, I've never seen anything like this either. That's why I made it. I'm going to do another in this style with different shape soon.
