Back in the saddle
Back on the lathe after about six months of 'other' duties. This little 'bowl' measures 165mm diameter and 130 high. It is made from red cedar, maple and white beech, took about 3 days to complete. Finished with sanding sealer, lacquer and wax.

Good to see you back turning, Jim.
Now was that 3 hours of turning or did you spend some more time gluing up the near 200 odd different pieces?
This laminated stuff must be addictive, so I'll stay clear from it for a while.

Jim, really a stunning piece of segmented work, actually a pity the picture of the side view is too dark.

Thank you people for the kind words. Must admit it got close to resting in the rubbish bin, permanently.
