Salmon Gum Burl Platter
Got this Salmon Gum Burl finally turned and sanded to 400 grit. It measures 325mm x 55mm.
The finish is spray on lacquer, 4 coats with sanding between 3 & 4.
C & C Welcome.
Hope you like it.
Bob.

Salmon Gum
Hello Mate
Lovely looking burl there and nicely finished. As you have invited comments, in my opinion, I would have made the base slightly larger and deepened the platter, I am guessing that the platter will be bottom heavy.
Lastly, it looks to me to be Jarrah, but that can be the photo, the light, or my old eyes.
I would gladly swap Jarrah Burl for Salmon Gum
Overall, I do like it
Sincerely
Willy
