Salt and Pepper Mills
I have the mechanism for a pair of 7" salt and pepper mills which I would like to attempt to turn but do not have a plan or drawing as to how I go about it (measurements etc).
Can anyone help with advise as to where I might find this info on the net or elsewhere.
Thanks in anticipation

Woodturning books would help for a start, most of them have a profile for what you require.
Secondly use a profile gauge and get the design off a set thats commonplace in a craft shop or a cheap $2 shop with asian imports.
Finally try drawing up some designs on graph paper. You may surprise yourself with what you come up with...it may not necessarily be aesthetically pleasing ..but it is your design and you can always improve with your skills on the lathe improving on the way whereby you may eventually end up with something close in keeping with your desires.
ALSO try the local library ..there is avaluable resource at hand that folk tend to forget about.
Cheers

Hi Macca2,
I found this set of plans here. I haven't been able to start this, or complete any projects. I'm delayed until spring. Just got 10" of snowon Sunday, and it's -8 now and snowing.
