Default Salt and pepper rubber stoppers

Where do buy the rubber stoppers for the end of turned salt and pepper shakers?

Searched a few of the most Likely places with no luck . I could be typing the wrong name for them in the Carbatec search window .

I'm not paying $21 for postage from US . Hopefully somewhere in Vic or AU

Ring up your local chemistry department at college/Uni.
Ask them where they shop. Fisher? VWR?

Don't be offended if they go all paranoid on you.

    Thanks gidgee1.

I went had a look at the first place. Perfect I thought .
But, the size I wanted was out of stock. Hoping for 1"

Rang them and out of stock sizes are discontinued..

Thought about it Mark but didn't think they looked like they'd work as well as those white ones .
The flexibility and the little recess looks like they would hold well .
And if a cork get jammed in and the sides start crumbling trying to get it out .

Could be worth a try shaping a pair to be a good fit though and see if it works .

Have you thought about turning some stoppers from the bits of waste wood to the size you want I did this with my one and worked very well.
