    Default Salvage opportunity

This is a broken Stelton pepper grinder. The collar of the top is partly broken away.

Pity to waste it as it has a decent ceramic mechanism. Turn a new top and give it a new lease of life.

Free to someone who will in fact do that. I would ask postage cost to be covered though. I'll send the top as well as a model.

It's some kind of real Oak, which is a bit too coarse-grained for the application.

Here we go Ern. Bored out the broken 25mm tenon, glued in some end grain Liquid Amber and recut the hole. IMG_20171126_141109526.jpg
Patina looked a lot like dirt so took a mil off and refinished. Will be a good Xmas gift. Thanks Phil.
