    Default Scobie inspired seed pods

A few years ago Neil Scobie demo'd his squirt pods at the Prossy Turnout which started a fascination with these forms. The pods are turned as a thermed pair so all of the body except the point is done with spindle roughing gouge, spindle gouge and finally a skew with minimal sanding. The stem is band sawed then carved away.

I'm about to do some more, so I dug this one (pair actually) out I did, inspired by Neils squirt pods.

I've got one buried in dust in the shed somewhere but not as good as that.

    Thumbs up

    Very nicely done indeed sire!!!

They are a wonderful artistic addition for the household.

I had a bit of a play with this sort of turning a few years back - and then got sidetracked!!!

You have your own groupies at Prossy. Maybe you should wander around the tent a bit more.
