Segmented eagle
I haven't posted here in a long while. Here is a segmented vase i just finished
After three tries its finally done. By the far the most difficult design I have tried. its not all symmetrical but I just couldn't through away a third one.It is a lot better than the first two
The base was bigger at the start but I had a catch parting it off
it is 18" high x 11" in diameter x 3/8 wall. There are 552 pieces plus the feature ring. The woods are Maple Walnut Wenge and the birds head is Ebony
Thanks for looking
Al

Great looking piece.
I must admit that I am a little surprised that you threw out two other pieces. If you salvaged them as part of some else I would feel a lot better.
