    Default Sheoak platter

    Hi guys , I got this beautiful piece of sheoak from dusteater all the way from WA
    I turned this platter awhile ago , the grain and colour of this platter is amazing ....
    So why did I colour it ? ?..........it seemed like a good idea at the time.
    Anyway it, s approx 300mm wide and 30mm high , finished with DO
    Any comments and advice welcome

    Actually I don't mind the coloured rim, but yes, why did you colour it???

    Hi Jim , I watched a YouTube video of Jimmy Clewes turning a platter and coloured the rim

    nice I have heaps of sheoak nuts that would make a nice ring with resin
