    Default Sheoak Salad Bowl

I am also rather pleased with this Sheoak Salad bowl (see Salmon Gum Burl), approximately 330mm x 90mm.
    Cheers

Good job Willy. Shee oak is a bugger for splitting on this side of the continent.

Nice work Willy. She oak is one of those timbers we often don't showcase as well as we could. I reckon it needs nice flowing curves to get the maximum impact from the grain, but your shape shows it off quite well.

Very nice. Sheoak would have to be one of my most favoured timbers - tough as nails, but beautiful grain.

    Thanks for the comments.

As for the hardness, I find it quite soft and a pleasure to turn after turning Jarrah Burl all day, the shavings really fly off with a pleasing hiss (if that makes sense??)
