    Default Shifting Meridian

    Hello everyone Here is my latest piece,
    " Shifting Meridian"
    stands 22 inches tall and is 9 inches at it's widest point. It is made from Walnut with cherry strips and it has a lacquer finish. The open air ribs are over 2 1/2 inches long and 5/16 of an inch wide. This was my biggest challenge yet for a open air project.

    wow, awesome. luv those cherry stripes, the top of the flute, the finish and everything else
    at 22 inches its obviously bigger then it looks in the pic!

    Thank you very much brainstrust.... Yes it was very hard to get good photos because of the size and gloss finish here are a few more shots from different angles and the open air sphere glue up and it on the lathe to help show the size.

    Thank you Hughie... This was still a challenge the toughest thing to date I've hollowed, cutting it w/ out shattering the open air parts when you transfer from them to solid and back again.
