Ship's steering wheel
G'day all . . . I would like to find out where to get information on turning a "Ship's Steering Wheel". Have been enjoying woodturning for the past 10 years. Enjoy, Vic

Geoff. THats an excellent site.(By the way where's Tenby Point?)
Vic .You might try looking up sites on making a spinning wheel. Very similiar in construction, and I think plans would be easier to find.Jack the Lad.

Ships steering wheel
Vic.
I have now turned two small ships steering wheels, one 200mm outside diameter and the other slightly larger at 400mm outside diameter.
I would be happy to correspond by e-mail on the details if you are still interested.
