Silky Oak bowl
I just love the grain in silky oak!
Here is a bowl I made in a rush. Finished the bowl, took some quick snaps, then straight out the door to give it to a friend as a birthday present.
I believe it was around 20cm diameter but forgot to measure properly.
Sanded to 600, then EEE and Shellawax Glow to finish.
Hope you like it. Simon.

Hi DaveTTC, I used one of these attachments in a power drill. 50mm diameter, and I have sanding pads up to 600.
After using a scraper on the bowl, I use grits 240, 320, 400, 600.

I think you can get 800 and 1200 grit velcro backed sanding discs too, but I only have up to 600.

I can see why you like silky oak. Nice work.
