Default Which full Size Lathe to Buy

    G'day all,
The club I belong to is thinking to buy another lathe up to about $2500.
I saw this one in Hare & Forbes catalogue. Does anyone have one of these, if so what do you think of it?

I have one of those and have found that it is reasonable value for money. Not in the same league as Vicmarc, but not the same price either.
The quality of machining is a bit below par in same areas, but apart from that I am quite happy with mine. Plenty of power and would not be without the variable speed now.
I have a friend in Tassie who brought one before I did and uses it day in day out to supply shops and markets. He has only had a couple of minor problems over something like 5 years, so they can't be too bad.
Have a look at this review by Big Shed as it is also pretty comprehensive.
