    Default Spalted Macadamia

I was given a length of Macadamia approx 50x50x250

So I cut it into equal parts segmented them together and formed the bowl

Turning the outside was very difficult with tear out happening so some Wood Wipe was used to stabilise it left for a few days to harden, the interior end grain I thought would have been the big problem. peeled away in some cases just like butter.

    Oil finish.

Interesting. The bottom of the bowl looks like an ink blot test.

    Question

Are you certain it is Macadamia Wheelin"?

Looks nothing like any Macadamia I have dealt with. Macadamia has very distinctive medulary rays. Don't see any evidence of them there.

    Like the bowl anyway>

Ray, can tell you nothing about macadamia of course, strange wood for me.
Had need a little time to get used to the many more or less white area's.
    Overall it's a nice bowl.
