Default spindle adapters MC 900 1X8tpi

    Hi Everyone,
Can anyone direct me to a source for a spindle adapter for the MC900.
I want to go from the 1X8tpi head stock spindle to a std. 30X3.5
So the adapter needs to have a 1X8tpi internal, female thread and a 30X3.5 male to take scroll chucks, face plates etc.
My searches only bring up a male 1X8tpi to female 30x3.5, the opposite of what I need.
    Cheers

    Vicmarc 1"x8 F - M33 x 3.5 M Adaptor - V00025

Any Vicmarc stockist should hold them or be able to order one in for you.

Have a look at McJings - Just a moment...

$35.00 plus freight, or go and spend an hour or so in their shop at Yagoona, it is choka block full of interesting woodworking and metal working bits and pieces.

I'm not sure about the MC900 variable speed system, but if it is a copy of the Hare & Forbes machines, they keep spare parts, or take the damaged pulley to a bearing company, they have an extensive range of power transmission items (belts, pulleys, chain etc.), they will be able to identify it and get you under way.

    Happy turning,
    Alan...

    Default Chuck adapters

    Many thanks everyone,
I had seen the Vicmarc ones but thought they were a bit expensive.
I had not seen the ones at Mejing so thanks for that post I think $35 is more my style.
    Cheers
