    Default First Square Platter

Turned this today. Bit of experimenting as had not done one before. Started with turning the buttom

Then flipped it and tried to get an evenish edge

All in all I'm satisfied with it

One bit of advice I'd give to others .... dont be so tight and cut off that weathered end

As I want it to be a user I finished it with canola oil .... I guess that is ok?

A great job for a first attempt is it not fun with those corners flying around certainly keep you on your toes and your fingers out of the way

I know I certainly try and get the most out of a piece of wood but as you discovered not always to the best thing
