    Default Stone inlay with Chryscolla

Hi everyone, one more try at stone inlaying. The stone is Chryscolla, and it seems to stand out better on the yellowbox wood than Turquoise, with a richer colour. C & C welcomed. Cheers Harry

I love the inlay idea as it really does stand out.

Is this a practical piece or more an artistic piece?

Thank you Christos, no it's just decorative.

In your previous posting of stone inlay, you showed a picture of you powersanding the inlay. Were you just using the normal velcro backed sandpaper that we use on wood or was it some type of carborundam ?

As long as it is good quality sand paper its fine, the grit has to be harder than the stone being sanded

Hi Ted, yes the first sanding disk is 60 grit carborundum , (the black one) then just normal cloth backed paper up to 1200 grit. Harry
