Sydney Visit
Took a quick trip to Sydney, to accompany my daughter for both of us to see medical specialists, and took the opportunity to look up Hughie. The day started with Hughie picking me up in the limo at the closest railway station, and after the grand tour of his workshop, and checking out his special tools and his vintage metal lathe ( loved that), he said we were off to visit wheelinround. What a morning chewing the fat, which turned into smoko and then lunch, and finally hughie dropping me all the way back into the city to make my appointment.
I can not say enough of the hospitality of the guys and respective wives, that made the visit so special. I left them some difficult NQ timber, so we will wait for the results to be posted on the forum. I had bought a burl the previous day, so had to resist the offers of their timber, as Mr Jetstar flogs overweight bags, but snuck some pen blanks in.
Thanks hughie and wheelinround, for a great visit,
Old Croc.

Richard was great to meet you and spend the short time we did out of the heat and swapping a little bit of my wood for the big bits of yours.
See the photos here
Thanks for the Quilted QLD Maple? I trimmed my two bits up this morning
I have already decided what to make a pair if the wood will take it will email you regarding this.

Thanks hughie and wheelinround, for a great visit,
It is so highly figured I am tempted to do a run up to Townsville in the limo and fill it up.Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working. — Pablo Picasso

I can only agree with your sentiments, Richard. Sharon and I had a similar experience a couple of years ago and they made a hell of an effort to make us welcome, and succeeded. We both really appreciated that.
I hope the medical prognosis for both of you, is excellent.
