symtec lathe
hi I bought a Symtec 1500 woodlathe about 10years ago havnt used it much, but getting back to it now. Does anyone know where I could buy a new cutters for it .

Looking at this: Wood lathe, Copying from Template - YouTube I would buy some High Speed Steel rounds, or drill rod, that fit into the holder and grind your own. Check an engineers shop for HSS. Long rods can be cut with an abrasive blade in an angle grinder or circular saw.
So much timber, so little time.

Be aware if buying drill rod that it is typically sold in the annealed state and will require hardening. High speed steel rounds are a better option for most of us.

Do a search on this Forum, as I recall this has come up previously and I believe that there was someone in Adelaide who could supply these. It was a couple of years ago, but well after Symtec ceased production.
