Table Lamp
G'day
This is a development of the disc bud vases I posted previously .
Overall height is 500mm, the disc is 280mmx50mm .
The disc is Tassie Myrtle and the latice inserts are made from Claret Ash . The neck and base are from an unknown hardwood . The black sections are stained with Proof Tint .The finish is Rustons DO except for the inserts which were sprayed with gloss Estapol
Comments welcome .

Might have been a good idea to paint the cord black.

Artme
You could be right . I had a black lead I could have used too . Bit hard to change the cord now . Maybe on the next one.

I was thinking of using veneer on a lamp frame if I can track anything suitable down .
Anyone else tried this?

A very unusual design but being flat i can see then finding a place on narrow shelves - or failing that as discus'.
Nice turning and a good finish, well done.Dragonfly
