Allan, after having a close look at your box, I think you did a great job. I agree with Skew, the size and shape of the finial suit the dimensions of the box. No hose fittings here. Leaving the knot in the side of the box added character to the overall piece, well done.

Allan a bit like some of your jokes - thread started on 7th and 2 weeks later some of them start to get it
I still reckon Jeff could do with being a bit thinner - introduce him to John's diet(i never said the finial needed to be thinner i said 2 others would reckon that
